About the plans

Our plans are restorations of United States Department of Agriculture and cooperative extension building plans that are in the public domain. Every PDF credits its original source. The restored drawings, step figures and text are our own work, made with the help of AI tools and checked by hand against the original sheets.

The plans are historical designs. Check them against your local building, electrical and animal-welfare rules before you build. Where a plan involves electrics, have a qualified electrician do that part.

Copyright

The original public-domain sheets remain free for anyone to use. Our restorations, photographs, illustrations, text and the Square & Furrow name and seal are © HAKL d.o.o. You may build as many of each design as you like, but may not resell or redistribute our files.
