A 6 ft apple-bobbing trough at child height, with a tombstone at each end. A Halloween mini plan adapted from our restored Cattle Grain Bunk: the same build, at porch size, with a scary twist.

• Size: 72" long x 27" wide x 30" to the rim (183 cm x 69 cm x 76 cm); tombstones 39" (99 cm) high
• Water: fill 4" (10 cm) deep: about 63 litres / 17 US gal
• Skill: Beginner who can use a jigsaw
• Time: One day, plus paint
• Lumber: nine boards, a 2 x 4 ft plywood panel and a pond liner
